FAQ

What is the typical lead time for a job?

Most jobs are completed within one week from approval of artwork.
Call us if you have an urgent order and we’ll see what we can do.
We frequently turn orders around in 24 hours.

What artwork do you require?

We require artwork created in outlines in either of the following formats:

  • AI
  • EPS
  • PDF

We can’t use bitmap artwork however we can arrange to have the artwork redrawn by a graphic designer at an additional cost.

Will you send me a layout before starting the job?

Yes.
We will email an artwork approval for every job and we won’t start until the artwork is approved.

Do I need to supply extra items for testing?

No.
We have a very low rejection rate and are familiar with most promotional products.
For industrial products with a specific requirement then it’s a good idea to send us a test piece.

What payment do you accept?

We accent payment by EFT, cheque, cash or credit card (Mastercard & Visa)

Can you blacken the engraving?

Yes but it depends on the product.

We have 2 blackening processes:

  1. Stainless steel black marking
  2. Oxidising  – non-stainless steel products only

Blackening stainless steel is usually fine.
Oxidising success depends on the material used in the body and coating of the product. This process is a chemical reaction between the engraved material and the chemical and is therefore difficult to control.

What lasers do you operate?

We use YAG, Fibre & CO2 lasers.

We have a total of 6 lasers which gives us enough capacity and redundancy to handle any job.

How large can you engrave?

We specialise in high speed, small format laser engraving.

All of our lasers use a galvo mirror based laser beam delivery system.
This means that we can engrave quickly and very accurately however the maximum field is limited to the following sizes:

  • YAG & Fibre lasers: 150mm diameter
  • CO2 lasers:  100mm diameter

We often engrave in multiple positions to achieve an overall larger size.
Please contact us if you have any special requirements.

Are you a member of APPA?

Yes.
We’ve been a member of APPA (Australasian Promotional Products Association) since we started in 1988.

What are my shipping options?

We use the following freight companies:

  • TNT for all Australia wide road freight
  • Star Track Express for overnight airbags
  • Various point-to-point couriers for urgent local jobs
